Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 cup tomato juice or ketchup + water if needed
1 egg or 2 egg whites, slightly beaten
3/4 cups quick or old fashion oats, uncooked
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients; mix lightly but thoroughly.
Press into 8x4 inch loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour or until meat is no longer pink and juices are clear.
Drain; let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
