Caramel Nut Pound Cake by

Ingredients
2 sticks butter(softened)
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 lb. light brown sugar
6 eggs
3 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 cup chopped nuts( pecans or walnuts)

chopped nuts( pecans or walnuts)
Instructions
Cream butter, shortening and sugar;add eggs and blend well.
Add baking powder to the flour and sift.
Add flour and milk alternately to the batter; add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan.
Place in a cold oven and then set oven on 350 degrees.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn out on rack and allow to cool completely.
