2 cups ketchup
2/3 C brown sugar
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
2 teaspoons lemon juice
pinch of cayenne pepper
(add more spice if you want, hot honey, jalapeno, red pepper flakes, etc)

Mix together.
