Ingredients
1 C butter
2 1/4 C sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
3 C cake flour
9 Tablespoons cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 C ice water
Icing:
3/4 C butter
4 oz cream cheese
3 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoons vanilla
4 1/2 C powdered sugar
1/4 C and 1 tablespoon cocoa

Instructions
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Sift together cake flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients. Alternating with ice water, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Pour batter into 3 8 inch greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Cool.
Icing: Cream all ingredients together.
