Ingredients

Cake ingredients:
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
6 eggs, separated
1 tsp vanilla
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk, if necessary (I typically use it)

Milk Sauce ingredients:
1 can condensed milk
1 can media crema (can use half and half instead. If you use half and half, just measure it using the empty condensed milk can)
1 can evaporated milk

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in mixer except egg whites. Whisk whites separately. Fold in egg whites to cake mixture. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes in a greased glass or ceramic dish. Poke holes with toothpick throughout cake. Blend milk sauce ingredients. Cool cake slightly. Pour sauce over cake to soak. (Sam's Note: Let set at least an hour after you pour the sauce on and use ALL the sauce. You want the sauce to soak all the way through the cake. Also, you will need to refrigerate the cake if you have any leftovers. It is really good cold, too.)
