Mushroom Salisbury Steak by

Ingredients
1 cup finely chopped onion
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon butter
1 (10.5 ounce can) french onion soup
1 1/2 pounds ground beef (can use half beef, half ground chicken or pork)
1 packet onion soup packet
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cajun seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 cup ketchup
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon powder mustard
1/4 cup water

Instructions
In large skillet, melt butter. Add onions and mushrooms until onions are transparent. Remove from skillet and place in a side bowl.
In a large bowl, mix together onion soup packet, ground meat, bread crumbs, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder and cajun seasoning. Form into desired patty size.
Add patties to large skillet used to sauté onions and mushrooms. Brown both sides of patties over medium-high heat. Pour off excess fat. Cover with onions and mushrooms.
In a small bowl, whisk flour and french onion soup until smooth. Whisk in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder. Pour over meat in skillet.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
