tablespoons butter
1/4 cup
brown sugar
1/2 cup
coarsely chopped pecans (or walnuts)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Place the brie on an ovenproof platter or pie plate. Bake for 4 or 5 minutes or until the brie is slightly softened.
In a small sauce pan, melt butter and sugar together on low heat until thickened.
Cover brie with nuts. Pour the sugar mixture in an even layer on top of the warm brie with nuts and bake for 2 to 3 minutes longer, or until the sugar melts.
Turn oven to broil and watch carefully so it doesn't burn. Broil until a nice lightly brown crust has formed on the top.
Serve with apple slices or crackers.
