Needs to bake longer until lightly browned on top.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sifted flour
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1 medium can drained fruit (apricots, blueberries, pineapple or peaches).
Topping:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 t. cinnamon
3/4 t. almond extract

Instructions
Cream butter and sugar until light.
Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
Sift together and add flour, baking powder and salt. Beat until well blended. Spread in well greased baking pan (8 in). Place fruit on top of batter pressing lightly.
Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle over fruit.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
