Baked Brie with Brandied Cranberries by

Ingredients

Cranberry mixture:
12 oz bag of fresh cranberries
1 1/2 c sugar
2 T shredded orange peel
1/4 c orange juice
2 T brandy

1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
1 4-5 oz Brie cheese round
1 egg, beaten

toast or crackers for serving

Instructions

Combine cranberry mixture in saucepan and bring to boil. Simmer for 20 minutes. Cool.

Preheat oven to 400. Place brie in center of puff pastry sheet. Spoon 1/2 of brandied cranberries on top of cheese. Bring corner of pastry to middle of brie and twist into a knot. Press seams to seal. Bake in an oven-to-table dish for 20-25 minutes, until pastry is puffed and browned. Let stand 10-20 minutes before serving.
