Instructions
1/4 cup of butter = 1/2 of a stick or 4 tbsp or 2 oz
1/2 cup of butter = 1 stick of butter or 8 tbsp or 4 oz
3/4 cups of butter = 1 1/2 sticks of butter or 12 tbsp or 6 oz
3/8 cup of butter = 1 1/4 sticks of butter or 6 tbsp or 5 oz
1 cup of butter = 2 sticks of butter or 16 tbsp or 8 oz
1 1/4 cups of butter = 2 1/2 sticks of butter or 20 tbsp or 10 oz
1 1/2 cups of butter = 3 sticks of butter or 24 tbsp or 12 oz

To soften butter leave it on the counter for 39 minutes
To melt butter put it in a sauce pan on low heat stirring constantly
