3 C. Sugar
2 C. Corn Syrup
1/2 C. Water
2 Egg Whites, beaten
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 C. Nuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions
Boil sugar, syrup and water to soft ball stage (240 degrees). Put half of the syrup in the egg whites, mix and set aside. Boil the other half of syrup mixture to hard brittle stage. (300 degrees). Beat the other half with egg whites while the syrup is coming to a boil. Add the mixtures together. Stir until it looks grainy, then add vanilla and nuts. Quickly drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.
