Ingredients

Veggie of choice sliced into "sticks"-- think fry shaped, aim for ½ inch thick and uniform in size (turnips, potatoes, kohlrabi, rutabaga, carrots, beets, parsnips, or daikon radishes would all be great choices)
Preferred oil for roasting
Salt
Your preferred seasonings (at my house, we love a mix of garlic and onion powder, and a sprinkle of smoked paprika)

Instructions

Step 1
Toss your veggie sticks with oil and sprinkle with salt, along with any seasonings you're using.

Step 2
Place in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Step 3
Bake in a 425 degree preheated oven until browned and cooked through, flipping once. This may take 30-35 minutes for heartier veggies like rutabaga or turnips, and 20-25 minutes for things like carrots or beets.

Step 4
Garnish with a sprinkle of your favorite herb, some parmesan, or serve with the fanciest dipping sauce you can find in the fridge.
