Whiskey Sour by

Ingredients

60 g (2 fl oz) bourbon
20 g (2/3 fl oz) fresh lemon juice
15 g (1/2 fl oz) simple syrup or maple syrup
1 Egg White, optional
Angostura bitters

Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients except for egg white in cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Shake vigorously until shaker frosts over.
3. If using egg white, strain liquid into a glass, dump ice into sink, and pour liquid back into cocktail shaker.
4. If using egg white, add egg white to cocktail shaker for the "reverse dry shake". Shake vigorously for 15 seconds
3. Pour over rocks glass filled with ice. Top with a dash or two of bitters.
