Sheet Cake (Mom's SHEATH cake) by

Tags: sheet
I've always called this a sheath cake because that's how I copied it from my sister's family cookbook. It wasn't until I was in my 40's that I learned it's a sheet cake. lol
TIPS: I purchase buttermilk then freeze it in 1/2 C containers.
I've also used the powdered buttermilk (found in the baking isle) when I don't have buttermilk.
