White bread by

Ingredients

sugar
water
yeast
oil
salt
flour
butter

Instructions

Dissolve 2 T sugar in 1 c. warm water
Add 1 T yeast & let proof in warm place (~5min)
Add 1.25 T oil, 3/4 t salt
Stir in ~2 C. flour (little @ a time) & knead
Rise 45 min in greased bowl covered w/ saran wrap & towel in warm place (bread proof setting w/ oven cracked)
Punch down, roll out w/ rolling pin, roll into log, pinch seam shut, fold up ends and pinch
Rise in greased/floured bread pan 30 min. (bread proof setting w/ oven cracked)
Put in cold oven & bake 375* for 20-25 min
Remove from bread pan to cool, brush hot loaf w/ soft/melted butter
