Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add Buttermilk: Make a well in the center and gradually pour in the buttermilk. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead Dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead for about 1 minute, just until smooth.
Shape Loaf: Form the dough into a round loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to score a deep cross on top.
Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom and is golden brown.
Cool: Allow to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
