RANCHERO STEW (for the CrockPot) by

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef; brown & excess grease drained off
1 tablespoons veg oil
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 small can green chilis; drained
2 cans whole tomatoes
1 cup water
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 carrots; sliced
1 green pepper; chopped
2 celery ribs; chopped
1 can whole potatoes; drained & diced

Instructions

After you've browned & drained the beef, transfer to your crock pot.
Blend together onion soup, water, tomatoes & chili powder. Add to the meat. Simmer on medium for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add vegetables & cook 30 minutes more.
