Sesame Thins by

Ingredients
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
1 c. margarine or butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. sesame seeds
Instructions
Sift flour, soda and salt into bowl. Cream butter with sugar until fluffy in a large bowl. Beat in egg and vanilla.
Stir in flour mixture, half at a time, and blend well to make a soft dough.
Wrap in wax paper and chill several hours (overnight is best) until firm enough to handle.
Roll dough 1 t. at a time into small bowls, then roll in sesame seeds to coat lightly. Place on lightly-greased cookie sheet.
Bake in moderate oven 8-10 minutes, or until delicately brown. Cool completely. Makes 3 dozen.
