Fruit Cobbler by

Ingredients
Batter:
1/2 c. sugar
1 T. butter, softened
1 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. milk
Fruit:
1 qt. fruit
1 c. sugar (or less, depending on fruit)
2 T. butter
Water (as needed)
Instructions
Mix batter ingredients and pour into buttered baking dish. Bring to boil remaining fruit ingredients and add boiling fruit to batter. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
