Sugar cookies by
Ingredients
Mixing bowls large and small
Mixer with paddle attachments
Disposable cookie sheets
2 sticks of butter or 1 cup of butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Rolling pin
Flour for counter
Cookie cutters
Instructions
Soften butter on counter 30 minutes
Heat oven to 350 degrees f or 250 c
Beat butter and sugar until well combined
Add egg beat until fluffy add vanilla . Combine dry ingredients then slowly incorporate dry ingredients into wet ingredients dough will be stiff.
Shape into a flat disc wrap in plastic wrap chill in fridge for 30 minutes
Roll dough onto floured surface with a rolling pin use cookie cutters of your choice
Place on cookie sheet
Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
