Polish Apple Soup Pronounced [Zhoo-pah zha-blah-kah-vah]
Ingredients
1 1/2 apples
4 c water
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tbs water
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 c sugar
3/4 c sour cream
macaroni or crouton
Instructions
1. Cover 2/3 of apples, quartered, with boiling water and simmer for 15 minutes.
2. Rub through a sieve
3. Add cornstarch mixed with 1 tbs. water. Bring to boil.
4. Add cinnamon and sugar.
5. Remove from the heat.
6. Add the rest of the apples, peeled and shredded, add sour cream.
7. Serve warm or cold with macaroni or croutons after the meat course.
