Memere's Tourtiere by
Ingredients
5 Lbs Ground Pork
1 Lb Ground Veal or Venison (thats still being debated)
Put meat in a pan and cover the meat with water. Cook slow with no cover until al the water is gone. Mix spices in toward the end.
1 Med onion
1/3 teas. salt
1/2 teas. dried thyme leaves
1/4 teas. ground sage
1/4 teas. pepper
1/8 teas. ground cloves
Instructions
Pour into bottom pie crust and top with pie crust. Bake until golden brown... About 35-40 minutes at 400 degrees
