Sugar Cookies by
Ingredients
1 1/2 c. butter, softened to room temp
2 c. sugar
5 c. flour
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Instructions
( you need a heavy duty stand mixer for this or you can cut the recipe in half, I have a commercial grade kitchenaid and it still is a little tough on it)
Cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Cover and chill 1 hour or overnight. Preheat oven to 400. Roll out dough to 1/4 to 1/2" thickness. Cut into shapes and place on ungreased cooky sheets. Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Cool and decorate.
