Curried Hot Dogs by
Ingredients
2 T. margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
2 apples, sliced
2 T. flour
1 t. curry powder
2 T. brown sugar
1/2 t. powdered ginger
2 c. tomato sauce
1 t. mustard
1 lb. hot dogs or polish sausage, sliced
Instructions
Cook margarine, onion, and apples until tender. Mix together flour, curry powder, brown sugar, and powdered ginger. Stir into onion and apple mixture and cook briefly. Stir in tomato sauce and mustard and blend well. Simmer 15 minutes, then add hot dogs or polish sausage. Heat through and serve with rice.
Note: the original recipe called for 1 T. curry powder, but that was too strong.
