Spaghetti Pie by
Max's 1st Grade Cookbook
Ingredients
6 ounces spaghetti, cooked
2 Tbsp. Margarine
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. cottage cheese
1 lb. Ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green bell pepper
1 8-oz. can diced tomatoes
1 6-oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Garlic powder
1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Combine cooked spaghetti, margarine, Parmesan cheese and eggs in bowl; mix well. Spread in buttered 10-inch pie plate. Cover with cottage cheese. Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper in skillet, stirring until ground beef is crumbly; drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and garlic powder. Cook until heated, stirring occasionally. Spoon over cottage cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 5 minutes longer.
