Basic Pizza Dough by
Recipe courtesy of Jim Bigelow.
Ingredients
*1 pkg. yeast
*1 tsp. sugar
*2/3 cup of warm water
*1 2/3 cups of all purpose flour
*3/4 teaspoon of salt
*2 tsp oil
*Vegetable oil for pan
*1 1/2 tablespoons of cornmeal for pan
Instructions
Stir yeast and sugar into warm water and let stand until foamy, about 10 min. Insert metal blade, put flour and salt in work bowl and turn on machine. Pour yeast mixture through feed tube and process about 45 seconds, until dough pulls away from the sides of bowl. Add oil through feed tube and process for 60 sec. longs.
If the dough sticks to the side of the bowl, add more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Roll dough on floured surface into circle (I tape down sheets of wax paper and dust with flour)
Oil pan lightly and sprinkle with corn meal.
Heat oven to 425 degrees and bake crust for 6 min. Take from oven and build your pizza. Return to over and bake for 18 min. or until crust is golden brown.
