Chicken from Frozen or Thawed to Instant (Pot) Cooked! by
This came from Kristen, my favorite Instant Pot guru at https://www.sixsistersstuff.com. She has a great YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@SixSistersStuff/videos
If I'm cooking chicken for a trip (or to cook in a recipe later) I freeze 1 or 2 cups of chicken in Food Saver bags. This is a great way to take advantage of bulk chicken sales at the grocery store!
Ingredients
Frozen or Thawed Chicken breasts or tenders
Water (or Low Sodium Chicken Broth)
Carrots (if you have them)
Onion (fresh or dry onion flakes
Celery (fresh or dry)
Pepper
Instructions
This is simple.
No need for the trivet.
Just put frozen or thawed chicken in the Instant Pot.
Add 1 cup Water (or Low Sodium Chicken Broth)
Add your veggies and pepper.
For Frozen Chicken, set the Instant Pot to Manual, sealing (not venting) for 25 minutes, or 20 minutes for thawed chicken.
Quick release when done. Shred or chop chicken if desired.
That's it!
