Cherry Bars by Monte

Ingredients

1 C butter 1 3/4 C sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 3 C flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 large can cherry pie filling

Instructions

Mix well. Put most of the batter in the pan. Top with cherry pie filling. Dot top with remaining batter. Bake at 360* for 40-45 minutes. You may top bars with a little vanilla frosting (powdered sugar, milk, vanilla).

*You can also substitute apple pie filling and top with cinnamon and sugar.
