Gluten-Free Chai Teff Waffles by

Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
2 cup Teff Flour (ivory or brown) or 1 cup ground millet + 1 cup teff
1/2 cup brown rice flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Wet Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup unsweetened nondairy milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup date paste
Instructions
If you only have regular teff, you can grind it in your high speed blender to make teff flour. Heat up your waffle iron. You want it to be very hot. Mix the dry ingredients together in a small mixing bowl. Then mix the wet ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet and mix well. Cook until crispy and there is no steam left coming from the waffle iron. Place waffles on a wire rack so they don't get soft.
