Self rising biscuits by
Ingredients
Mixing bowl large
Rolling pin
clean floured surface
pastry cutter
cookie sheet
biscuit cutter
measuring cups and spoons
2 cups self rising flour
4 tbsp shortening
1/2-2/3 cup cold buttermilk
Instructions
Heat oven to 450 f
Cut shortening into the flour until it resembles course crumbs.
Add buttermilk, stir with a fork until it pulls away from the bowl.
Knead 8-10 times on light floured surface. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutters. Bake 10-12 minutes.
