Buttermilk biscuits by
Ingredients
Large mixing bowl
Cookie sheet large
measuring cups and spoons
pastry cutter
biscuit cutters
rolling pin
clean surface to roll out dough
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp granulated sugar
3/4 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
6 tbsp of cold cubed butter
3/4 cup plus 2 tsp cold buttermilk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 f.
In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
Add the butter, cut into pea sized pieces using the pastry cutter.
Gently stir in the 3/4 cup of butter milk, until a shaggy dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface, pat dough into a 10 x 8 rectangle fold dough like a letter, Repeat this two more times.
Using biscuit cutter, cut out 8 biscuits, add to cookie sheet brush with remaining buttermilk.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
Store in airtight container once cool for one week.
