Nana's Ginger Bread Boys by Jeanne

Ingredients

1/3 cup shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 cup dark molasses 2/3 cup cold water 7 cups flour 2 tsp soda 1 tsp salt 1 tsp allspice 1 tsp ginger 1 tsp cloves 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Mix thoroughly shortening, brown sugar and molasses
Stir in2/3 cups cold water
Sift together and stir in flour and spices.

Chill dough, roll out to 3/4 in thickness. I grease cookie cutter as needed and place cookies on greased cookie sheet. You can use parchment paper if you prefer.

Bake at350 for 12-15 minutes
