Spaghetti - Baked by
Ingredients
1 pound spaghetti , cooked two minutes shy of directions and drained
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion , chopped
2 cloves of garlic , minced
Kosher salt and pepper to taste (I used 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper)
1 - 24oz Jar of Marinara Sauce
1 - cup cottage cheese
1 cup parmasean cheese
1 egg
8 ounces cream cheese , softened
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
parsley , chopped (optional as a garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large skillet add the beef, onions, garlic, salt and pepper into the pan and cook on high.
Once browned, turn off the heat, drain the liquid left in the pan and mix in the marinara sauce.
Cook the spaghetti, drain and add cream cheese and mix well.
Mix the cottage cheese, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and the egg in a bowl.
Add 1/2 cup of the meat sauce to the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
Place 1/2 of the spaghetti on top of the meat sauce smoothing it out. Layer on cottage cheese mixture covering all the spaghetti then layer remaing spaghetti over cheese.
Spoon the remaining meat mixture of the top of the spaghetti and top with mozzarella cheese.
Cover and bake for 25 minutes, add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
