Tomatoes & Macaroni with Cheese by ashley mccluskey

Ingredients

-2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni -4 quarts boiling salted water -3 tablespoons butter or margarine -1/2 cup chopped onion -1 green pepper, cut into strips -1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes -1 cup grated cheese -1 1/2 teaspoons salt -1/8 teaspoon pepper -1 egg beaten -cheese crumb topping.

Instructions

-Cook macaroni, drain and rinse in cold water. melt butter or margarine in skillet, sautee onion and green pepper until soft. Remove from pan, combine with tomatoes, cheese and seasonings. Stir in egg.Pour over macaroni in greased casserole and sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Cheese crumb topping.
-2 tablespoons
-1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
-1/4 cup grated cheese

Melt butter or margarine and combine with bread crumbs and cheese.
