Cranberry jam by
Recipe from Moje Wypieki blog.
Ingredients
- cranberry (fresh or frozen): 500 g
- apple: 1
- lemon: 1
- sugar: 200 g
- water: 125 ml
Instructions
1. Wash cranberries and put half of them to the pot.
2. Add grated apple, lemon juice, sugar and water.
3. Bring to boil, then cook on low heat, stirring, for about 15 minutes (until apple becomes tender).
4. Add rest of the cranberries and cook for about 30 minutes, until it thickens and water evaporates.
5. Fill jars with the jam and pasteurise them:
- put them to a pot and pour hot water to cover jars in 3/4 of their height. It's important that the poured water has similar temperature to the jam - or else jars will crack
- bring it to boil and then keep on low heat for 20 minutes
- take the jars out and leave the to cool down
