Rigatoni with Italian Sausage by
Ingredients
1 pound rigatoni
I Lb. Italian sausage- already out of casing
2 cloves garlic - minced
1 jar classic marinara( Classico marinara with plum tomatoes and olive oil ) I used Homestyle Ragu Thick and Hearty flavored with meat
1 8 of package cream cheese cubed- or whipped
1/2 cup basil leaves torn
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1) cook pasta as directed omitting salt
2) cook Italian sausage in large skillet prayed with PAM
3) cook meat on medium heat until browned
4) add garlic - cook and stir 30 seconds- add pasta sauce and cream cheese and mix well
5) cook on low heat 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and blended well stirring frequently
6) drain pasta- add to pasta and mix lightly
7) top with basil and parmesan
