Homemade pizza recipe by
Ingredients
Bread machine or stand mixer and rubber spatula
12 to 14” pizza pan disposable or regular
Pizza cutter
1 cup of warm water 105-110 degrees
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp active dry yeast if using bread machine to make the dough then 1 tbsp active yeast for bread machine
1 tbsp olive oil
2 1/2 cups all purpose or whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
Pizza sauce
16 oz mozzarella cheese
Toppings of your choice

Instructions
If you are making your dough in a bread machine, add the wet ingredients first then dry then yeast then put on the dough cycle. See instructions for stand mixer below.
Preheat oven to 450 f or 234 c.
Grease your pizza pan,
Put warm water into your mixing bowl .
Add sugar and yeast stir to combine. Let sit for 5 minutes or until it becomes frothy and bubbles. If it doesn’t become frothy and bubbly the yeast is bad .
Add olive oil stir gently to combine.
Add flour and salt, mix with a rubber spatula until the dough forms a ball it will be quite sticky .
Transfer to a floured surface and knead the dough, add an additional 1/2 flour if needed if the dough is to sticky.
Roll dough to your desired shape with rolling pin and place on greased pan
To ensure the dough doesn’t form air pockets gently prick with a fork but be careful not to go through the dough.
Bake on the lower rack of your preheated oven for 5 minutes .
Remove add your sauce, cheese and toppings and place back on the lower rack for an additional 15-20 minutes.
Remove and let cool down, cut into 12 pieces serve warm.
