Cheesy Stuffed Sausage Pasta Bake by
Ingredients
Prep time 15 minutes. Bake time 30 minutes. Makes 8 servings
1 LB. rigatoni or penne pasta
1 pkg. Jimmy Dean Regular Flavor Pork Sausage roll
I jar ( 24 oz) spaghetti sauce
2 tsp. Dried Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 container ( 15 oz ) ricotta cheese
2 cups ( 8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. Chopped fresh parsley ( optional )
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta and remove from heat 1 minute before suggested cook time, drain and set aside.
2. Cook and stir sausage in a large skillet over medium high heat 8-10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked. Drain and return to skillet. Stir in sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and cooked pasta. Layer half of pasta mixture in a greased 13 x9 inch baking dish.
3. Mix ricotta and I cup of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Spread over pasta. Top with remaining pasta and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with parsley.
4. Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted.
