Caramels by Sarea Clark

Ingredients

1 C. Butter 2 1/4 C. Brown Sugar Dash of Salt 1 C. Corn Syrup 15 oz. Sweetened Condensed Milk 1 tsp. Vanilla

Instructions

Melt butter in heavy 3 quart saucepan. Add sugar and salt, stir thoroughly. Stir in corn syrup, mix well. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Cook and stir over medium heat to firm ball stage, 12-15 minutes (245 degrees). Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Cool then cut into squares.
