Homemade French Onion dip by janine

Ingredients

Large skillet Spatula Cutting board Mixing bowl 2 tbsp olive oil 1 1/2 cups chopped onion 1/4 tsp kosher salt 1 cup of sour cream 1 cup mayonnaise 1/2 garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon white pepper 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat, add the onions and 1/4 tsp of kosher salt. Cook the onions until the are caramelized and golden brown about 20 minutes. Remove onions from heat and cool.
Mix together the Sour cream , mayonnaise, pepper, garlic powder ,and remaining salt add the cooled onions mix well refrigerate four hours before serving .
