Apple Pie Oatmeal by Camia

This sugar-free breakfast tastes like apple pie and is a huge hit for the whole family. I make this for guests and they always ask for the recipe. It's great because it can be thrown together in under 10 minutes. These amounts will make two servings, but I still use 1 apple to make one or three servings. For four servings I might use two apples.

Ingredients

1 apple, chopped small 1 tbsp butter 1 tsp cinnamon 1 C oats 1-3/4 C milk Chopped walnuts (optional) Raisins (optional)

Instructions

In medium saucepan saute apple in butter for 2-3 minutes or until soft. Add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and mix well. Pour milk into apple mixture and bring to a boil. Stir well to get any apple stuck to the bottom. Add oats and simmer until desired consistency is reached. Add the other 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Serve with walnuts and raisins.
